DEATHS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN 2021

In the first five months of 2021, more than 630 men, women and children drowned in the central Mediterranean Sea as they sought a better life in Europe.

According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) the 632 recorded deaths represent an increase of 200 percent compared to last year.

Similar tragedies, the Italian Bishops say, “shake consciences and demand we view the phenomenon of migration with lucidity.”

FUNERALS

Bereavement is always difficult, but it is made even more difficult now with the restrictions. The restrictions extend to the Funeral Mass too unfortunately with only 10 people allowed in the Church. This makes the grieving process even more difficult. The support of the extended family and parish community has always been a great support to the bereaved.

Below are the readings from which a family can choose for the Mass, and all the details regarding a Funeral Mass in our Parish. You can discuss these with me and any arrangements for the Funeral.
