DEMENTIA CAFE

Published on May 1, 2024

I would like to establish a “Dementia Café” in the parish to serve the parish and local communities.
What is a dementia café? A dementia café is a support for people who are living with dementia and their families. It provides an opportunity for people to share experiences and get reliable information on dementia care and supports. People living with dementia, their families and friends, healthcare professionals, and people who are interested in supporting a dementia inclusive community, are all welcome to attend. The dementia café is always free of charge.
It will meet once a month ( or more often if people like) in the Parish Centre. Those involved can choose a name for the café. We can work in conjunction with Irish Dementia Café Network, which will be a source of information and support.
