Thomas passed away peacefully at The South West Acute Hospital, on 26th July 2025.
Beloved husband of Bernie. Loving father of Niamh (Gerard).
Son of the late Thomas and May R.I.P, Kilbeggan Co Westmeath and dear brother of Arthur, Liam, Mary, Seamus, Cathal and the late Ann R.I.P.

You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven, BT47 4 NQ) on Sunday 27th of July 2pm to 6pm. Leaving the funeral home at 6pm to repose at his home in Derry. Wake at the family home is private for family and friends.

Funeral on Tuesday 29th of July leaving his home at 10:20am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Altinure. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

FUNERALS

Bereavement is always difficult, but it is made even more difficult now with the restrictions. The restrictions extend to the Funeral Mass too unfortunately with only 10 people allowed in the Church. This makes the grieving process even more difficult. The support of the extended family and parish community has always been a great support to the bereaved.

Below are the readings from which a family can choose for the Mass, and all the details regarding a Funeral Mass in our Parish. You can discuss these with me and any arrangements for the Funeral.
